Description
On the day of his audition for the Royal College of Music in London, Christopher Martin was so nervous he walked into a lamp post. In spite of the painful bump on his head, he passed his audition and embarked on a life lived ‘in the middle of the music’.
Always a great raconteur, in the months before his death in 2011, Chris talked to writer Mary Ryllis Clark about his rich and varied life in Europe and Australia. The resulting memoir is poignant, entertaining and reflective about the intense world of music and musicians.
